Lisa Bauer is an expert on Scottish weddings. A graduate of Aberdeen University with a MA in Psychology and a postgraduate certificate in Primary Education, Lisa moved from her birthplace of Scotland to New York City in 2001.  She has worked as a Personal Assitant for New Yorks elite,  party planning, dealing with vendors, guest lists, table plans and elaborate decor. Lisa is known for her perfectionism and  attention to detail.  After planning her own fairytale destination wedding at Dalhousie castle near Edinburgh, Lisa opened Tartan Weddings to share her love of Scotland and its rich history with the rest of the world. When she is not busy planning beautiful weddings, Lisa is often designing custom jewelry and creating handmade Harris Tweed bags and pillows or spending time with her daughters Ava and Anya and her husband, Craig.
